1. What the game stores on your device
Incubator Rumble keeps your game in your device's local browser storage. This includes your creature collection and codex progress, coins, feathers and mystic crystals, incubator and upgrade state, badges and milestones, and your audio and haptics settings.
This is game data, not personal data. It stays on your device, and deleting the app deletes it.
2. What the game sends to our servers
So your progress survives reinstalling the app, the game backs your save up to our server automatically. Each backup sends:
| What is sent | What it is |
|---|---|
| An anonymous save ID |
A random string the app generates on your device the first time you play, in
the form user_<timestamp>_<random>. It is not derived
from any hardware identifier, advertising ID, or anything about you, and it is
not connected to your name, email, phone number, or Apple or Google account.
|
| Platform and app version | Which build of the game wrote the save, so older saves can be read correctly. |
| Your game snapshot | The same progress described in section 1. |
As with any internet request, our hosting provider receives your device's IP address in order to route the response. We do not use it to build a profile of you or link it to your save.
We delete a cloud save after one year of inactivity. If nothing has been backed up under an ID for twelve months, that save is removed. Playing again at any point resets the clock, so a save you are still using is never at risk — the rule only clears out saves nobody is coming back for. You can also ask us to delete yours sooner; see section 8.
3. Creature art generation
When you fuse two creatures in the Mystic Nest, the game asks our art service to generate a portrait for the resulting hybrid. That request contains only a description of the creatures involved: the hybrid's name, its parents' species and names, its rarity and class, and the prompt built from them.
No player information is attached to it. Our server passes that description to OpenAI, which generates the portrait; OpenAI handles the request under its own privacy policy. The finished portrait is cached on our server so the same hybrid does not have to be drawn twice.
What reaches OpenAI is a sentence about two farmyard creatures. It contains nothing about you, your device, or your save.
4. Purchases
Feather packs are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores handle the entire transaction. Incubator Rumble never sees and never receives your payment card, billing address, or store account details — the app is told only whether a purchase completed, so it can credit your feathers.
Apple and Google handle that payment information under their own privacy policies.
5. Sharing a creature
If you tap share on a creature, the game hands an image and a link to your device's own share sheet, and your device sends it wherever you choose. This only ever happens when you tap share, and whichever app you pick then handles it under its own privacy policy.
6. What we do not collect or do
To be specific, rather than merely reassuring, Incubator Rumble contains:
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or telemetry software.
- No third-party tracking, attribution, or crash-reporting services.
- No social-network login or embedded social tracking.
- No access to your location, camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar, or health data. The app requests none of these permissions.
We do not sell, rent, or trade player information, and we do not use it for advertising. Information leaves our servers in only three places, all described above: Apple and Google handle purchases, OpenAI draws hybrid portraits from a creature description, and our hosting provider carries the requests. Beyond those, we disclose information only where the law requires it.
7. Children's privacy
Incubator Rumble is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and because the game asks for no personal information from anyone, there is none to collect.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's information has somehow reached us, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and deleting your data
To delete everything on your device: delete the app. Your local save goes with it.
To delete your cloud save: open the game's Settings screen and scroll to Your save ID. Copy the ID shown there and email it to hello@incubatorrumble.com, and we will delete the save it belongs to and confirm.
We ask for the ID because being anonymous cuts both ways. Your save is filed under a random string and nothing connects it to your name or email address, so unlike a service with accounts we cannot look yours up from your message alone. The ID is the only thing that identifies it — which is also why it is worth nothing to anyone else.
If you are on an older version of the game that does not show the ID, write to us anyway and we will work out which save is yours.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to request a copy of it, or to have it corrected. Write to us at the same address and we will answer.
9. This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's font servers; Google describes its handling of those requests in its own privacy policy.
10. Changes to this policy
If the game starts handling data differently, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
